Tar Heel Town Activities include:

  • The Countdown to Kickoff Show, broadcast live from Tar Heel Town
  • Face painting, interactive games, inflatable slides and an inflatable bounce house
  • Your favorite Tar Heel mascot, Rameses
  • Great Tar Heel stuff from Chapel Hill Sportswear
  • Posters, schedule cards, trading cards and much more provided by The Rams Club, Department of Athletics and the General Alumni Association (GAA members may enter a drawing to win great prizes at the end of the season)
  • Register for Carolina Kid's Club
  • Climb the Bell Tower


Want some great tailgate fixin's?

Parker's Barbecue of Wilson, N.C., will serve barbecue plates. Other food vendors will be on hand as well.

Come early to join in the fun and festivities before cheering our Tar Heels on to victory. There is no parking provided for Tar Heel Town. Please be attentive to all parking signs on campus.

We encourage you to park in one of the pay lots downtown or to use the Tar Heel Express shuttle service which runs buses to campus from the NC 54 East/Friday Center and University Mall Park and Ride Lots two and one-half hours prior to game time. The fare for the shuttle is $5 round trip and $3 one way.
